More About JuneBug: Where I Live, What I Eat
My Friends: Baby Roo, Annie

JuneBug the guinea pig was adopted by HappyCavy on Saturday, August 16, 2019, along with her sister, Baby Roo, from PGPR, a Portland-Oregon based network of volunteers.

JuneBug is Baby Roo’s bigger sister — they almost look like twins — and she’s forever keeping an eye out to make sure Baby Roo stays out of trouble. Sometimes JuneBug is successful in her big sister role, but other times her calm, steady leadership is no match for her sister’s sudden bursts of energy.

A few years after JuneBug joined HappyCavy, she developed pea eye, a common and usually harmless guinea pig eye condition.

For more details about JuneBug’s pea eye, see What’s Guinea Pig Pea Eye and How to Treat It.

JuneBug is a quiet and shy girl, but when it’s time for cuddles, she’s very affectionate and loves a good, steady pet behind the ears. JuneBug is the bravest of the current herd, and if there’s a loud noise or a new toy the Humans put in the cage, JuneBug is the first to explore until Baby Roo and Annie join in.
