Guinea pig lip scar

Good news! The cut that Buttercup got from Dot’s introduction attack has remained remained infection-free and is now almost completely healed.

She has quite a noticeable scar running from her right nostril to her lip. However, The Humans are anticipating that, in a few weeks time, her new scar will be covered with a layer of cute, white Buttercup fuzz.

We wish Dot’s introduction day attack had never happened, but we’re trying our best to get used to Buttercup’s new rough-and-tumble look.

About This Guinea Pig Website

HappyCavy has been online since June 2009 with Hammy and Piglet. In October of 2009, a sweet, fuzzy cavy named Bitsy joined the family.

Feebee and Buttercup were welcomed to the HappyCavy Forever Home as friends and co-conspirators in January 2011. Dot joined us on July 2012. Winnie and Rosie joined on February 8, 2015 and June 6, 2015, respectively. Sisters JuneBug and Baby Roo joined August 16, 2019, and Dollie came to us on February 15, 2023.
